Our fourth feature is a piecedirected by possibly the most recognizable name among all Polish film artists. Since debuting with „Knife in the Water”, Roman Polański has become one of the most prolific (and notorious) names in the universe of cinema, having sustained his creative force for over sixty years now. Indeed, his first foray into the world of full-lenght feature film remains as mesmerizing as it was over 50 years ago, when this intimate, minimalistic piece made by a totally unknown author took the movie world by storm, earning an Oscar nomination and landing on the cover of TIME Magazine. „Knife in the Water” ignited an international career that has span over half of a century, brought the eyes of the world on the cinema that was being made behind the Iron Curtain, and has since become one of the most widely discussed Polish movies.
